Formerly a sports writer, Anup decided to pursue medicine and subsequently urology while attending Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Urology offers unique operative opportunities as well as the ability to be actively involved in men's health initiatives, which Anup led on multiple occasions prior to and during medical school.
