Peyton Skupin, MD

Peyton was born in Ann Arbor, MI and grew up in South Lyon, MI. After graduating as valedictorian of her high school class in 2013, she went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in neuroscience with highest distinction at the University of Michigan. She continued her education at the University of Michigan Medical School. There, she was an integral member of the Ureteral Reconstruction Working Group, which aims to improve the care of patients who require ureteral reconstruction surgery through clinical collaboration and research. Her professional interests include community urology and healthcare access, as well as patient safety and quality improvement (QI). She is currently working with the UPMC Presbyterian Shadyside Department of Patient Safety on a multidisciplinary QI project to reduce the incidence of traumatic urethral catheterization. In her free time, Peyton enjoys doing home improvement and organization projects, gardening, and spending time with her husband and two cats.
